The Germans are beating a Jew in front of the other Jews most likely not only hurt the one being beaten, but threatening the other Jews so that they are too scared to disobey the Germans orders.

    This is a very powerful picture. The way that everything is in motion and the fact that you can see the barbed wire really makes it jump out at me. I agree with Eli though, it was not described.
